Design concept cont. by Sir Hardy Amies

I continued to design another coat/jacket, inspired by Sir Hardy Amies- England style. The check pattern fabric has fascination for me. I bought this fabric from last year and only cost $2. Top jacket is looks modern - tight-fitted, princess shoulder, 4 x waist darts and back darts, drape neckline (it looks like a scarf).

Second coat is knee length, 3/4 length sleeves with shirt cuff, stand collar, CB inverted pleat. Since I supposed to make a waist-belt with same fabric but unfortunately no more fabric. I will going to find a red colour waist belt and wear it during autumn time.   Cooollllll............

Moodboard (1)

Moodboard (2)

A/W 09/10
My next design of coat for autumn time, concepted from Sir Edward Hardy Amies who was a British-fashion designer, best known for being the dress designer for Queen Elizabeth II. I have had chosen a one way crepe weave, light blue checked fabric which is a wool and polyester mixed. It is very comfort and soft. Low raglan sleeve style with waist belt, button-front and large patch pocket on both side-edge.

FLING

S/S 09/10
Designed by Amy Lam

“Fling” is a womenswear collection inspired from the world famous “Cirque du Soleil” show called “La Nouba”. The show is a synthesis of circus styles from around the world but has its own unique central theme and storyline. This collection has reflected their playful and fancy fashion into more contemporary spring/summer collection. I have developed stretch and bias cut garments that focus on bright colour and have tokens from the cirque show within them.

Medium stretch fabrics have been mixed with light weight silks and satin so that garments can be interchanged to suit the wearer. This collection has 25-28 age of women. Her style is completely stylish and itchy. The garments range in between costume and playful clothing.

Both of the outfits entry's in for "Hokonui Fashion Award 3Aug 2010"

Mysterious

S/S 09 - Inspired by "Cat Women Animated".
Designed by Amy Lam

My theme was inspired by comic book "Catwoman". My designs are a range of garments designed for perfect woman who is a sexy, have good sense, high education and want a mystery life.

Because of Catwoman costumes/garments are often skinny, tight fit and construction-heavy. It's surprising how easy they are to wear. I got a idea for outer garment that could make it easy to put on and off - "Reverisble Zip" at CF and CB. If one side damage of the jacket then just reconstruct one side only.........
